FAQ
How should we dress for our family session?
I typically recommended neutral colors and I would be more than willing to send you a "styling guide" upon request to help make your planning as easy as possible.
What’s the best time to have a family session?
Typically the prime hour for a family session is the "golden hour." (1 hour before sunset) So I will typically schedule 1-2 hours before sunset. 2 hours after sunrise is also a prime time for family pictures or portraits.
Do you travel long distance?
Yes, however I will charge a traveling fee for locations that are greater than 20 miles away from Lancaster county (Ephrata).
Do I have to pay a deposit at the time of booking?
Yes a $50 retainer fee and signed contract is due at the time of booking. This secures your session date and makes that time unavailable for other potential clients. Retainer fees will be credited toward the session fee.
When can I expect to receive my digital gallery?
I will have your gallery delivered within 2-3 weeks. I will give you a "sneak peak" of a few photos within a week of your shoot.
What is your shooting style?
I am a natural light photographer. I usually begin my sessions with the standard 'look in the camera' shots', but then I love to blossom into those natural moments where the laughter and joy really spill out! (That's often where the magic happens, especially with kids!) Since I have officially begun my business a year ago, I am very much still learning and growing into my own editing style. My portfolio is the best way to know what kind of editing style you can expect with your photos.
